Local dining and shopping
There are several dining and shopping options available right here in Laguna Park:
Dollar General, Family Dollar, The West Shore Grill (live music Friday evenings, excellent steaks on Sat. Evenings. It’s a good idea to call and reserve a steak), Lobo Street Cantina (incredible tacos),Burger Shack, Bosque Resort, Rub Cage BBQ, Tower Pizza (not super child friendly), and Shookys (accessible by boat or car across the lake at Parson’s Marina), Mr. K’s Convenience Store, & The Lake Stop. There are also two liquor stores in Laguna Park.
There are many more options in Whitney, TX and Clifton, TX such as Brookshire’s Grocery and ACE hardware.
For an additional fee, we can provide home cooked breakfast/brunch delivered to the cottage. All options are gluten-free. Please contact your host for info.
Oh! If you’re here on the second Tuesday of the month the West Shore Civic Association has their pot-luck supper and general meeting at 630. Membership is only $20/year and it’s usually a good meal, good fellowship, and you can be an honorary “Lagunatic”!
Transportation
Blue Fox Cottage & Fox Kit Cabin are approximately 30 minutes from Waco Regional Airport (ACT), 90 minutes from Dallas Love Field (DAL), and 2 hours from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
Uber and other rideshare is not often available in Laguna Park. You can usually get a ride to here, but will rarely be able to request a ride from Laguna Park.
PLEASE do not hesitate to contact us to arrange for airport transportation or rideshare. We are rideshare drivers and can turn the app on and pick you up if you need a ride into town.
Golf cart rentals are available from Texas Golf Karts: https://texasgolfkarts.com/
Whitney Ridge Resort also rents golf carts but they may not be allowed off property.
We are happy to pick up a cart and have it here for you for a small fee if we are available.
